Born and raised in Luxembourg, Jeremy Palluce influenced luxembourgish Youth Culture with his Fashion-brand Palazzoparano in his early 20’s by mixing fashion with art knowledge and pop culture in general. After his BA in Fine Arts Jeremy started a Fashion Design Master in Basel, to mix art and fashion in a more specific way.

Currently the artist is focussing on topics like social media and contemporary society influence on Gen Z, a world run by influencers and mandated acts, the illusion of the post-internet age. How big is the influence that youtube, Instagram, Pornhub and Co hast on the Zeitgeist? In what ways is it changing our mindset in the future?

Driven by modes of thought of people like Marcel Duchamp, Joseph Beuys, Andy Warhol or Kanye West his art reflects their ideals in a contradictory way. Jeremy focuses on provocation leading to a discussion, criticising society by putting himself in the position of the issue. The term of relevance plays a big role in Jeremy’s work. Minimalistic thoughts lead to a change in working. The artist switched from painting to installations and different ways of showing art. What is our influence on society? Does it all make sense in the end?
Jeremy will not show answers in the exhibition, but will ask questions, showing an irony that people can put themselves in, dark desires, a discussion about ‘good and bad’.
